VTR’s fully machined polyamide bowls eliminate the inconsistencies often seen in manually fabricated feeders. Each bowl is backed by a lifetime warranty. If it fails under standard operating conditions, we’ll replace it at no cost, typically within just a few days.

Every VTR system is engineered in 3D using SolidWorks and manufactured with precision on a 5-Axis Trunnion CNC Mill. In the event a bowl needs replacing, customers can quickly install a new one by removing a central bolt and aligning the replacement on built-in dowels. No technician or service call is required.

Integrated Spring Detangler Option

VTR’s precision-machined polyamide bowls can be equipped with a built-in Spring Detangler, purpose-built to feed springs efficiently and prevent tangling. Traditional spring feeders often experience jams or clogging due to coiled parts binding together. Our detangler isolates and separates springs, feeding them back into the system without relying on bulky recirculation mechanisms.

This integrated solution keeps springs flowing smoothly into the storage track—untangled, aligned, and ready for the next stage. Designed directly into the bowl feeder, it requires no extra space, setup, or ongoing maintenance. For springs that pose extra challenges, our systems also include an automatic ejection feature to remove problem parts without halting production.

Versatile Configurations to Match Any Application

VTR’s polyamide bowl feeders are engineered for maximum flexibility and can be paired with a wide range of hopper and accumulation solutions to suit the unique demands of each production line. Compatible hopper options include elevator hoppers, stepper hoppers, live-bottom feeders, and vibratory hoppers, each offering distinct advantages depending on the part type and feeding requirements.

For part storage and flow control, our feeders can be matched with accumulation devices including vibratory, pneumatic, or conveyor-style systems to manage throughput before the next phase in your process. The optimal accumulation method is selected based on part characteristics and automation goals.

Available in black for automotive applications or in FDA-approved white and blue for use in medical, pharmaceutical, or consumer environments, our bowls also support integrated control panels for a turn-key operation. This is especially useful for complex or multi-lane setups, allowing for fast deployment and minimal installation effort.

Precision Part Handling

Feeder Escapement Solutions

VTR provides a wide selection of escapement solutions to ensure precise and controlled part release from the storage area of the feeder system. These mechanisms include cross shuttles, strip-forward escapements, linear actuators, finger gates, placement spears, blow feed units, and rotary indexers, each tailored to suit different part geometries and application demands.

Cross shuttles are ideal when specific pitch spacing is required. For larger or specialized parts, we offer multi-pocket shuttle configurations, enabling accurate placement using a simple pneumatic cylinder for smooth, orientated release.

Finger releases can function independently or in tandem with other escapement styles. These use one or more cylinders to regulate the flow of parts along the storage track, and are particularly useful for flexible or overlapping components that require added control.

Placement spears operate using a mechanical spear-shaped device that gently releases parts from the feeder. Positioned at the bowl’s exit, this method offers consistent and reliable part discharge using basic mechanical movement.

Rotary indexers are designed for higher-speed and more precise delivery. These systems rotate to present parts in sequence, powered by pneumatic or electric actuation, and can be custom-configured to match pitch or speed requirements for downstream equipment.
