We are hiring a General Labourer to join our Kitting & Purchasing department!

Successful candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs, and must hold a valid G-Class Driver’s License with a clear driving record. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

• Previous experience in similar general labour role
• Previous experience reading blueprints or mechanical drawings as an asset
• Valid G-Class Driver’s License and clean driving record required
• Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-function team
• Team-oriented and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others

Position Overview:

• Report to Chief Information Officer (CIO)
• Assist Kitting team with inventory counts, sorting parts, and kitting processes
• Assist with pick-ups and deliveries across Niagara and GTA as required
• Safe operation of company sedan and/or transit van as required
• Work collaboratively with department team members
• Support Shipping & Receiving as needed
• Use of pumpjack to move or organize skids
• Help discard garbage and cardboard
• General cleaning of workspace
• Support with other general labour tasks
• Ensure the use of proper PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection
• Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, as well as VTR’s Mission, Vision, and Values
• Other duties as required

• Overtime after 40 hours

Work Conditions:

• Temperature-controlled environment
• Manufacturing setting with exposure to loud noises, forklifts, and other machinery when on shop floor

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
• ½-hour Unpaid lunch from 12:30pm-1:00pm
• Overtime paid after 40 hours

Wage: $21.40/hour
