We are hiring a CNC Brake Press Operator to join our growing Manufacturing department! This role will also be responsible for metal processing tasks, including deburring, the use of drill pressing, and other tools to clean excess metal from machined parts.

Successful candidates must have previous experience performing set-up, programming, and operation of a brake press or bender. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Experience & Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing set-up, programming, and operation of a brake press/bender
  • Previous experience in a similar metal processing role, using metal processing equipment such as drill press, belt sander, grinder, and other power and hand tools
  • Experience using measuring equipment
  • Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-function team
  • Team-oriented and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to adapt to changing and/or competing demands, delays, or other unexpected events
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Own toolbox and tools

CNC Brake Press Operator

Position Overview

Position Overview:

  • Report to Manufacturing Team Lead
  • Accurately interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
  • Set up brake presses to make precision bends, producing quality parts
  • Use various measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier, micrometer) to ensure parts are defect-free, meeting quality checks and required dimensions/specifications
  • Use of other equipment such as drill press, Fladder(deburring), belt sander, grinder, and other metal processing equipment to remove excess metal
  • Work collaboratively with other manufacturing and VTR team members to meet production goals and timelines
  • Use of other hand or power tools as needed
  • Ensure the use of proper PPE
  • General cleaning of workspace
  • Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, as well as VTR’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Other related duties as required

Work Conditions:

  • Temperature-controlled environment

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour Day Shift; Employee must be on-site by 8:00am
  • ½ Unpaid lunch from 12:30pm-1:00pm
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours

Wage: $24.00-$28.00/hour depending on experience
