VTR Feeder Solutions is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice, Carpenter’s Helper, or Skilled Labourer to join our team in Saint John, NB.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and the ability to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial renovations. Experience & Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a carpentry or construction-related role
- Minimum 2nd or 3rd Year Carpentry Apprentice as an asset
- Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring tools
- Long-term experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read accurately blueprints, schematics and manuals.
- Follows instructions well, shows initiative, and able to work independently as required
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills
- Strong team player with a willingness to learn
- Demonstrates innovative thinking, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Valid Driver’s License and own reliable transportation
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 65 lbs
- Has own tools and toolbox
Carpenter’s Helper/Skilled Labourer
Position Overview
Position Overview:
- Report to Master Carpenter
- Work alongside Master Carpenter and other team members
- Assist with projects such as tear-out, prep for plumbing and electrical, drywall, installing windows and doors, framing, roofing, gutters, painting, flooring
- Measure and cut materials accurately using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret measurements from a tape measure and other measuring tools with precision
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency
- Assist with general labour tasks as required
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, as well as VTR’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Other duties as required
Job Type: Full-time
- Overtime after 40 hours
- Minimum 40 hours per week

Work Conditions:
- Renovation/construction environment
- Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- General Labour; Must be comfortable listing 50lbs
- CSA Approved Safety Shoes Required
- PPE (hard hat, respirator, hearing protection, and safety glasses) as required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, Day shift from 7:30am-4:00pm
- 8.5-hour day with ½ hour unpaid lunch
- Overtime available as directed by Master Carpenter
Wage: $23-$25+/hour depending on experience
Work Location: Saint John, NB, Canada
