• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar quality assurance role
• General Machining knowledge an asset
• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
• Experience using measuring equipment including height gauges, micrometres, verniers, etc.
• Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while working under pressure
• Mechanically inclined and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-function team
• Team-oriented and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment

Position Overview:

• Report to Quality Manager
• Responsible for set-up and operation of Zeiss Camera/Scanner
• Inspection of fabricated components using Zeiss Camera/Scanner in accordance with our quality procedures
• Load programs/models into Zeiss Quality Suite
• Program and nest new and repeat parts
• Prepare inspection reports as needed for Service parts
• Analyze to ensure conformance of parts to design intent, dimensional requirements, blueprints and other specifications
• Document/discuss unacceptable or nonconforming components with the appropriate parties and take corrective action
• Assist with internal auditing of control plan and process conformance
• Assist the Quality Manager in Projects and all other duties as assigned
• Communicate with Manufacturing and Design departments
• Use of other measuring tools as needed
• General cleaning of workspace and scanner maintenance
• Ensure the use of proper PPE
• Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, as well as VTR’s Mission, Vision, and Values
• Other related duties as required

Wage: $25.00/hour depending on experience
